Soon it will be 2010, and time for setting New Year’s resolutions. One of mine is to lose weight; it’s why I built the FoodPad Calorie Tracker.
The fastest way to lose weight is to eat less, and the best way to eat less is to keep track of what you eat. FoodPad is designed to make this task as easy as possible: Just enter the name of the food and how many calories it contains.
FoodPad will remember that food and its calories for the next time you eat it; just type in the first few letters of the food’s name, and it will drop down a list of the foods that match those letters.
Making your own recipes is usually healthier (and cheaper!) than eating out, and FoodPad makes it easy to find out how many calories are in your homemade meals with its recipe calculator.
You can find out more about FoodPad on its product page or find it on the iTunes App Store.
I’ve just received word that Apple has approved version 1.1 of the FoodPad Calorie Tracker. Look for the update in your iPhone’s App Store Application.
A new version means new features:
- Searching is much faster.
- Food and Ingredient dictionaries (under the Settings tab) make editing the drop-down lists easier.
- Portions for foods: No more keeping separate entries for different amounts of the same food.
- Bug fixes and interface improvements.
Thanks for downloading FoodPad. If you have any feedback, I’d love to hear what you have to say.
Lightbringer Software’s first product, the FoodPad Calorie Tracker, is now available for download on iTunes!
FoodPad is designed to make it as easy as possible to keep track of what you eat. It remembers the foods you’ve eaten for reentering at later meals, and it calculates the calories in your favorite homemade foods.
Download it, give it a try, and tell us what you think! If you like it, please consider leaving a 5-star review on iTunes and telling any of your friends who might be interested. Thanks!
